President
Sanjana Ramesh
Sanjana Ramesh is a senior at Novi High School who is passionate about creative problem-solving and exploring the connections between mathematics and computer science. She has competed and placed in several math competitions such as MathCounts, AMC, and University of Waterloo Competitions. She is an AIME qualifier, and she was the captain of team math competitions such as SMT, HMMT, MMATHS, and MMM.
Outside of mathematics, Sanjana has competed in National and International Chess Tournaments. She is a three-time Michigan Women’s Chess Champion and has represented Michigan in the Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions. She placed 4th in the Pan-American Youth Chess Championship and is the founder of Beyond the Board, a nonprofit that has impacted many students through free chess coaching and tournaments. She also enjoys painting, playing tennis and reading.

Sathvik Nelluri
Sathvik Nelluri is a ninth-grade student with a strong passion for mathematics and problem-solving. In 2024, he distinguished himself at the Michigan MathCounts state competition, placing among the top four in the Countdown Round and earning the honor of representing Michigan at the national competition in Washington, D.C. Since then, he has continued to achieve outstanding results at numerous contests, including the University of Waterloo’s Gauss, Pascal, and Fryer competitions, as well as earning recognition as both an AIME Qualifier and a Michigan Math Meet Bronze Medalist. Beyond competition, Sathvik enjoys sharing his love of mathematics by helping others learn while deepening his own knowledge. Looking ahead, he aspires to qualify for the USAJMO during high school and to continue to pursue mathematics at the collegiate level.

Rushil Yeole
Rushil Yeole is a junior at Novi High School and has been a math enthusiast since pre-school. He has been recognized with distinction in several UWaterloo CEMC Contests and has been a member of teams to several in-person and virtual collegiate competitions. This year, he hopes to achieve AMC 12 Honor Roll and higher levels of distinction at collegiate contests. He holds a profound interest in the applications of math in healthcare and economics and plans to study Data Science in college. Outside of math, Rushil is passionate for Chemistry and his hobbies include playing the Tabla, analyzing cricket statistics, and biking.

Arnav Vunnam
Arnav Vunnam is a 7th grader at Novi Middle School, MI. He has participated and placed in many math competitions, including MathCounts, AMC, MOEMS and SMT. He is a 2x AIME qualifier, earned a perfect score in AMC 8 and is a 3x MOEMS George Lechner award winner. He is a creative thinker who would love to problem-solve and create new and innovative problems. Aside from participating in competitions, he likes to swim, play tennis, watch TV, and listen to music.

Vincent Pirozzo
Vincent is a sophomore at Stoney Creek High School who is passionate about math, music, and robotics. His love of math and math competitions has persisted since he was three, and it has continued to grow ever since. He represented Michigan in the MATHCOUNTS National Competition in 2023 and 2024 and in the USA Junior Math Olympiad in 2025. He also enjoys getting to study advanced math topics through Oakland University, where he has attended the Oakland University Summer Mathematics Institute as well as two classes this school year. He actively seeks out opportunities to blend math with his passions, applying mathematical concepts to programming a FIRST Robotics Competition robot or teaching other students about math. When he’s not writing problems for the Motor City Math Challenge, he enjoys traveling to math competitions with his team, the Motown All-Stars, running with his friends, or learning Chinese.

Chaitanya Budida
A freshman at Okemos High School, he has been involved in math competitions since first grade and is a member of the 2025 Michigan MATHCOUNTS Nationals team, where he’s developed a strong interest in writing creative, well‑crafted problems that blend ideas across different areas of math. He also competes in quiz bowl and enjoys the fast pace and wide range of topics it covers. His athletic life includes playing volleyball and running cross‑country, both of which give him a mix of teamwork, discipline, and endurance. Outside academics and sports, he dances, plays violin, and enjoys watching movies, finding both relaxation and inspiration in music.

Mario Wu
Mario Wu is a freshman at Plymouth High School (P-CEP). He has qualified for AIME three times and has represented Michigan at 2024 MATHCOUNTS Nationals. He developed a passion for math at the age of six, and his everlasting journey began in fifth grade when he participated in the AMC 8. Outside of math, Mario enjoys playing the piano, performing (percussion) in Detroit Symphonic Youth Wind Ensemble (DSYWE) and Detroit Symphonic Youth Orchestra (DSYO), and playing video games. He hopes to qualify for the USA(J)MO and the USAPhO in the upcoming years.

Jun Kim
Jun Kim is an eighth-grade student at Smith Middle School with a sustained passion for mathematics; he actively seeks out challenging problems to refine his analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, and he approaches each contest as an opportunity for growth and learning. Jun earned Honorable Recognition on the AMC 8, placed among the top ten in his state twice in Mathcounts, and has competed in prominent individual contests such as PIMC and CLMC, while also contributing to team competitions including SMT and ARML. Outside of mathematics, he is a dedicated swimmer and violinist who has competed and performed at the state level. Looking ahead, Jun intends to qualify for the USAJMO and learn how to play harder violin concertos.

Alice Wang
Alice Wang is a freshman at Novi High School and started doing competition math from 6th grade. She has since achieved an honor roll in AMC 10 and an AIME qualifier. Beyond math, Alice enjoys playing competitive tennis and reading. She also has played piano since she was 5 and cello since 6th grade.

Lithika Sambangi
I am Lithika Sambangi, a sophomore at Edsel Ford High School currently preparing for the AMC 12. I have loved math since elementary school and will be taking Calculus III and Linear Algebra at my local community college during my junior year. I am a midfielder on the field hockey and soccer teams, participate in Science Olympiad, robotics, and Key Club, tutor local middle school students in math and science, and run a nonprofit supporting underrepresented girls in STEM through accessible engineering opportunities.

Nikhil Talluri is a highly analytical and logical thinker with a profound passion for mathematics. He excels at dissecting complex problems and developing systematic solutions, an approach he applies to all his interests. Whether he's calculating the precise angles for a shot on the golf course or delving into the structured arguments of a good book, Nikhil's mindset is rooted in the elegance and certainty of mathematical principles. He is driven by the challenge of finding the most efficient solution, always aiming to solve for x in any situation.

Outreach
Rakshith Thiruppathy
Rakshith Thiruppathy is a 6th-grade student at Washtenaw International High School and Middle Academy (WIMA/WIHI). His favorite subject is Mathematics, and he enjoys exploring advanced problem-solving techniques. Rakshith is passionate about leadership, teamwork, and participating in competitions—especially in the field of Robotics.
He has earned a 1st Degree Black Belt in Martial Arts, showcasing his discipline and dedication. In 2025, he achieved Best 6th Grader in the Motor City Math Challenge (MCMC) in the Advanced 6th–8th Grade division.
Outside the classroom, Rakshith loves watching TV, playing games, and enjoying soccer with friends. He actively participates in multiple recitals and proudly plays the trumpet in his school band. Rakshith strives to learn, lead, and grow—both academically and creatively.
