Announcing our 2026-2027 Motor City Math Club Board

We are proud to announce our board members for the 2026-2027 school year! The board members oversee different sections of the Motor City Math Club's board, making sure everything runs smoothly so we are able to deliver great classes and competition experiences.

• President: Rushil Yeole (2nd year on board)

• 

  • Rushil, one of the founders of MCMC, is a senior at Novi High School and was our stellar Director of Logistics last year. He is an accomplished participant in the University of Waterloo's Centre for Mathematics and Computing's contests who is profoundly interested in the applications of math to healthcare. When he's not doing math, he enjoys studying chemistry or playing the tabla.

• Executive Director of External Affairs: Sathvik Nelluri (2nd year on board)

  • Sathvik is another cofounder of MCMC! He is a rising sophomore at Novi High School passionate about math contests and problem solving. He was one of the four members of the 2024 National MATHCOUNTS team from Michigan and has distinguished himself as a two-time AIME qualifier and a Michigan Math Meet bronze medalist. He hopes to deepen MCMC's connections with the community this year, bringing math to more young students.

• Executive Director of Curriculum: Vincent Pirozzo (1st year on board)

    Vincent is a rising junior at Stoney Creek High School who enjoys sharing his love for STEM with others in every way possible. From his sustained mentorship of two local FIRST Tech Challenge teams to his heading of MCMC's problem-writing effort for our second competition, he truly embodies the spirit of MCMC's mission. He also brings problem solving expertise to MCMC, as the only qualifier for the 2026 Mathematical Olympiad Program from Michigan.

• Executive Director of Logistics: Arnav Vunnam (2nd year on board)

  • Arnav was the Executive Director of Curriculum last year (and a founding member of MCMC) and hopes to make a strong impact this year by making sure all of MCMC's competitions run smoothly. This year, he earned 2nd place in the National MATHCOUNTS Countdown Round and qualified for the AIME for the third time. When he's not preparing for the next Motor City Math Challenge, he enjoys swimming, watching TV, and playing ping-pong.

Congratulations to the newest members of our board! We hope to see you all at our 3rd Motor City Math Challenge, which will be a thrilling event for grades 1-8. The date and venue are not finalized yet, but it will likely be between September and October this year. Featuring individual and team rounds, the event will offer a chance to make new friends and solve interesting problems. Keep an eye out for updates on our mailing list (which you can subscribe to down below) and we hope to see you there!
